Are you on an antidepressant? What tin I do to help yous?
Yes, I take lexapro which is expert merely I'thousand going through with changing the feet med.. we are still trying to find one that work best for me. I've tried klonopin, gabapentin, flexeril, Ativan but they all made me drowsy, messed with my slumber patterns, changed my mood for the worst.. practise you have whatever suggestions on a good anxiety medicine?
Buspar comes to mind. Information technology'southward not a benzo, which is practiced, and it's different than nigh other anti-anxiety drugs. Simply I'k not a medical doctor and there could be reasons why you haven't been put on it.
You might need to go with an anti-feet medicine in a dose that doesn't brand you sleepy during the daytime and a med for bedtime that puts y'all to sleep and allows good residual. That's ii drugs to take care of your needs instead of expecting one to do both jobs. I have had this for many years and it does work for many people.
Y'all have a good variety of drugs that have been tried, so I give your doc credit for his/her choices. Only unfortunately each drug is a picayune dissimilar and sometimes you have to try them 1 by ane. I hope you notice the right i soon. I wish you a very healthy and happy situation.
yes, I have dealt with depression for years and anxiety for about 5 years now. I have been through outpatient therapy and continued counseling/medication. It's hard for me to deal with stress which seem to be everywhere these days. I'grand tired of being an on and off emotional wreck.
It seems that your medication isn't working for you. Do you tell your doctor that?
I concur. She needs to come across her Dr ASAP and then he can adjust it. With the right combo of meds, you can and volition go better. May accept fourth dimension, merely it does happen. I'm in the same place. my meds were just adapted but aren't working all the same. Depression is very bad.
I don't want to be "drama" for anyone, simply this affliction is taxing on the soul. I experience your pain. Hang in there.....
Hi, glad you lot joined, and so sorry to hear that you are feeling wearied. My daughter has been on that rollercoaster for many years, sometimes feeling that same way.
It is frustrating when you think you have plant some remainder and that 'normal' lifestyle, but so either feel it slipping or but one solar day suddenly it changes.
Fortunately we are all in this together, and a skilful network of friends or family can help when that residuum is lost. Virtually of the time it is because something has inverse and her medication needs to exist either changed or adjusted. Sometimes finding the solution is piece of cake and quick, other times not. Merely the results are worth it and the entire process helps in figuribg out all the pieces of the puzzle.
We are all uniquely made and in a constant state of modify. Fifty-fifty 'normal' has fluctuations, I tin can certain prove to that. We all need help along the way, we need one some other too. Don't be agape to speak out and reach out, fifty-fifty though y'all may be worn out and just drained, people sympathise that and respect your desire and demand for quiet and peace.(nifty name!)
Cheers and so much!!! I hope things go better for your daughter. You are definitely correct and we do demand support particularly from others similar ourselves in same or like situations. I learned that when people are non going through this or never been through this that they are not the best support system. Experience is the best teacher.. I chose the name serinity_peace because that's what I long for in my life. The earth is so noisy, destructive, total of chaos that quiet and peace is much needed.
I accept been through - and sometimes still go through - times of depression. There are normal fluctuations -- but in that location are more lows for those of usa who go depressed. I agree with medication and counseling. Too, i) attempt to maintain some sort of schedule, two) set up times to talk to friends, or go to events. Good luck and keep reaching out to this group!
Cheers!!! I hope you get better and I'm here every bit well as others in the group as back up..

I too am going to look at your resources.
Sure! They're for anybody!
Thank y'all- I already looked at some of your resources, and am glad they are out there. I look forrard to beingness in bear upon.
Rough calendar week in the cold.
I desire to feel "normal" again likewise. Realized after so many decades that some of my choices while depressed have definitely been an influence.
Oh gosh practice I want to experience normal again also this is awful, are you lot on med'due south? Im not cause this is all very new to me but came on and isnt leaving...
I think your question was to rippi, but I'll answer, too. I'chiliad on meds and take been for decades. I'thousand very glad that I am. My antidepressant and benzodiazepine keep me from being depressed or anxious and I savour very good health. I'thou happy, at peace with my place in the world, and no one has to know that I'thousand annihilation but perfectly healthy if I don't desire them to know. This includes my mental health plus my physical health, both of which I have several disorders or diseases of significance.
It'south been my experience that meds work for a time and so stop beingness effective. Not to mention the side effects. Been on more then I tin can remember over the years. I made a conscious decision late final year to get off them for a while and honestly that's non working either. And so, here I am dorsum again to try meds and more than counseling. This illness is stealing my will to go along fighting, merely I deceit requite upwardly. I love my children too much not to get and stay mentally healthy. The jury is out on whether my marriage will survive the 21st yr. It takes a toll on your loved ones.
I have simply been put on venlafaxine 75mg, I have depression bad, are these tablets any good and how long do they have to work?
Thank's Keith.
Yes they work, however, my dosage had to exist kicked up to 150 mgs.
I'one thousand taking Tamoxifen, I had breast cancer in 2017, & Venlafaxine counters the nasty side effects of Tamoxifen. Which is a nice byproduct from a med for a modify.
I have dealt with feet and depression for well-nigh of my life but didn't commencement on treatment until I was in my 40s. Then often I used the aforementioned expression of 'wanting to be normal once more". I agree with the others that you do need to get in contact with your dr.. Fifty-fifty when you lot recall the bad days will never end they will. Medications tin be a catchy affair to work out. In the meantime, relish the good days when yous have them and reach out to people here when you accept the bad days. Good luck.
What if i told yous ive been depressed for 25 years. Medicated for xx with everything you can think of and im Yet DEPRESSED.
yea. More than pills. Thats the fucking reply...
Sorry to hear that Kurisu. Yeah- depression is a bitch, I have a good friend who is fighting that fight. I suffer from Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and amazingly I accept not yet fallen into a depression afterwards these years (no idea how I've been then lucky). Meds are a weird deal- I resisted for a long time, only terminal tried it- and after a few drugs I institute a combo that keeps me adequately grounded.
Nosotros people are a big chemical bag of goo information technology seems. I'm sorry you lot accept not plant a mix that works for yous- I hope y'all accept a therapist you can talk to to keep looking for something.
Meds are non a silvery bullet- at that place is still a crap load of "cocky care work" nosotros all need to exercise. It's exhausting....sending you the all-time.
Hi serenity_peace. I become it the best I can. Just a few days ago I was driving to work and thought "man- what would I even feel like if I really had NO anxiety". I about can't imagine it. I tin't remember what my life was when I was care free and only doing my thing. But.........here I am with astringent anxiety and I just go along moving forward. It is *not* my thought. I've asked my therapist several times if this is a life time condition. She is really good, and gives the "politically right" respond that "we don't know" and mayhap one time certain things alter my GAD will modify - but I have sort of resigned myself to thinking this will be with me from here to the end. The Ane thing that has helped me, strangely, is humor. There are days I expect at my massive panic attacks and once it is all done I about express mirth at myself- information technology is such a stupid mental affliction. When I am actually freaking out, I practice a Google search for "anxiety humor" and observe a ton of humorous cartoons that make me smile- and remind me how many people "go information technology".
Sending you positive vibes.....
I so want to experience normal again too although I don't know what that is anymore - I understand. Everything yous said I tin relate to; they keep telling me information technology will go better and I'k actually trying to have hope. Depression hit me about a year agone (I'chiliad 53). 3 hospitalizations and lots of ECT - lots of unlike meds - planning another change side by side week - so tired....
